eBay to provide alternative browser support

We hereby petition eBay Inc, www.ebay.com, to support alternative browsers such as, but not exclusive to, the widely popular, Mozilla Firefox. Currently when asked when such support will be provided sellers are answered with the following email by an eBay representative:

"We appreciate your information and want to let you know that we are aware that you're not able to use the Standard view of the Description area on the Sell Your Item form if you're using the Firefox browser.

eBay continually monitors the use of different types of browsers by our members and as soon as a larger percentage of eBay members use Firefox than use it now, we will be re coding the Sell Your Item form so that Firefox users will be able to view and use the Standard description box.
In the meantime, we recommend that you use the Internet Explorer browser, as this browser is able to view the Standard area of the Description box on the Sell Your Item form.

In summary, we continually monitor the site in order to expand its functionality for all types of browsers, and we will code appropriately when we see a larger percentage of members than we see now, using browsers other than Internet Explorer."

This statement is a contradiction; it is impossible for eBay to see more traffic from alternative browsers if their users are forced to use Microsoft's Internet Explorer in order to properly use their website.
