This is a petition for Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios to create a sequel to Finding Nemo. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Fox and the Hound, Bambi, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Mulan, Madagascar, just to name a few, all have sequels. None of these equal to the success of Finding Nemo.
Finding Nemo is the best-selling DVD of all time and is the highest grossing G-rated movie of all time. It grossed over $864.6 million worldwide, becoming Pixar's most commercially successful film to date.
In 2003, Finding Nemo won the Academy Award for Best Animated Film. Nickelodeon Kids choice Awards honored Finding Nemo for Favorite Movie and Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie, by Ellen Degeneres as the beloved Dory.
Aside from all the statistics surrounding Finding Nemo, it is truly a fantastic, witty, very funny movie, with many memorable characters that deserves a sequel!
