In light of the new purchase of broadcast rights by ESPN of MLS matches and in light of Dave O'brien and Eric Wynalda's performance during the MLS All Star game Saturday, August 4, 2006, in which they would not call passes, gave useless anecdotes which they repeated throughout the match and then astonishingly missed the only GOAL of the match because they were not paying attention , we the American Soccer Nation have pretty had enough of O'brien and Wynalda and are petitioning ESPN and MLS to hire Real Salt Lake and KALL 700's play by play guy Ryan Hatch to call play-by-play and his color commentator Wayne Scholes who is a joy to listen to. By keeping O'Brien and Wynalda ESPN and MLS are turning off both diehard fans and casual viewers of the sport and potentially alienating new converts with their mindless banter. Their commentary has become unlistenable and a distraction from the field of play. In signing this we affirm that Ryan Hatch and Wayne Scholes are the best broadcast team in America for the sport of Soccer.
