Gary Bettman must go!

Who will save the NHL and it's future from your tyranny now Gary Bettman? All of us true hockey fans are signing this petition to remove you from office because of the way you have managed the NHL in the term you have held the position as commissioner, and in what way a lot of people are not happy about, disgusted by, or because of you, people have lost complete respect or interest in cheering the game. Between roughly Canada's 30 million population, and America's 300 million population, I believe I can reach out to at least one million hockey fans who are tired of having the sport they grew up and love be ruined by your incompetence to see the big picture of the needs of all fan bases on both sides of the border. My goal here in the form of this petition is to have you gone by the end of next NHL post-season, hence the end of the current CBA, and have a new commissioner that will have a realistic strong view of the future of the NHL, and get it back to the way it use to be. We have witnessed that you have done nothing for the base of the fans on either side of the border when it comes to their local market in whether it be financial trouble, or arena issues before the lockout or current CBA were in place. In my personal opinion, you strike me as a politician, a guy that can say just the right things at just the right times to address every issue on the surface, and have the discussion moved onto the next subject without addressing the real hard issues. All hockey fans know what you've done for the game, what you've established, and what your current goals are. But in the 14 years you've held the current position of commissioner, we as fans have witnessed many more negatives then positives to the game from the actions that have followed from your decisions. Hockey's changed, time's have changed, economics have changed, fans have changed, it's now time for new commissioner which also requires change. We need in place a highly respected NHL figure in the position who has a love of the game, an understanding of a true fan base, an experienced basis in the background of economics, someone who is capable of developing a good understanding with all necessary needs of individual markets, as well as overall needs of the entire market base, a mutual respect and partnership with the players and owners (better then what you so called have is place now), also someone who is respected in both countries, and is positively well known.





Simply put this petition embodies the removal of you as commissioner of the NHL by the end of the 2008/2009 NHL post-season.
