Gates at McLaughlin Playground

We, the undersigned, are Riverdale residents and parents who are concerned about the lack of gates in McLaughlin Playground on Greystone Avenue, just north of 238th Street. There are two entrances to the playground that have no gate, allowing children to run out to the street. This is a constant problem for parents of young children, as most children love to run out of the playground once they discover they can. This is a major safety concern, and one that we need to address right away.

We are requesting two gates: one at the north end of the playground and another at the top of the staircase in the middle entrance to the playground. In addition, we request that the lock on the existing gate be replaced because it does not work properly.
