Get U2 to release Milan and Croke Park 3 on DVD

During U2's 2005 world wide tour, the Vertigo tour, many places were filmed but may NOT be released for home release. The purpose behind this petition is to get shows released onto home DVDs.

The first show that should be released is U2 Live in Milan, recorded live in Italy, at the San Siro Stadium, July 21, 2005. The clips aired on CBS's "60 Minutes" which showed clips of "I Will Follow" "City Of Blinding Lights" "I Still Haven't Found..." "Love And Peace Or Else" as well as others. The show has better audience interaction from the Chicago DVD released a mere few weeks ago. I believe that all U2 fans should have a DVD of U2 playing at a 80,000 show capacity. Milan is one of these.

Comments: On the 2nd night of filming, U2 plays a show that matches last night's concert. Bono sings a bit of opera at the end of Sometimes. One includes the 'hear us coming' coda. After the song, Bono thanks the late Pope John Paul II for his help with debt reduction. Original of the Species is again played with members of the Symphony Orchestra of Theatre Carlo Coccia de Novara on both b-stages. REM's Michael Stipe and Mike Mills are both at the show.

The next show that should be heavily considered, is Croke Park. July 27th, 2005. U2's first show at Croke Park since 1987. This is a terrific gig, with a home crowd, and a fantastic setlist. The setlist for this show is as follows;

Comments: It's party time for the 3rd and final Dublin gig. Gloria, An Cat Dubh - Into the Heart, Original of the Species, Bad, and 40 all make their European Tour debuts. Miracle Drug is played for Christopher Nolan, who is at the show. Bono tells Nolan's story, which inspired the song. Bono sings a bit of 'Black Hills of Dakota' at the end of Sometimes You Can't Make It.... Tonight's show, like Saturday's, is filmed.
