We, the undersigned, hereby petition Glenn E. Thomas Dodge of Signal Hill, California, to honor the commitment made in eBay auction number 390166094286.

In this auction, the buyer, acting in good faith, won a no-reserve auction for a 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 at a price of $29,100. Glenn E. Thomas Dodge is refusing to honor the sale, even though they added the text stating that "This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle."

There are more than 200,000 views of the thread located at http://www.challengertalk.com/forums/f5/new-2009-srt8-challenger-sells-29-1k-34598/ where this issue was brought to light. Of the more than 80 pages of comments, nearly 100\% are in favor of the buyer, supporting his case that Bob Davis (President of Glenn E. Thomas Dodge) and Brad Davis (son of Bob, and Internet Sales Manager) should live up to their end of the bargain and complete the sale immediately.

According to this article, published in the Signal Tribune Newspaper on October 16th, 2009, Glenn E. Thomas Dodge just celebrated 100 years in business. Bob Davis states the following in the article:

- My dad taught us well, and we are continuing in his legacy, Davis said.
- The main focus for my dad and Mr. Thomas was always, Treat people like you want to be treated, Davis said. That remains our primary focus as well, and it applies to our customers and our employees.
- Davis added that Thomas and his father also believed that customers should be treated like special guests from the moment they walk onto the lot. My dad always said, You never get a second chance to make a good first impression, he explained. When a customer is in front of us, we want to make sure they feel welcome, that they will come back, and that they will recommend us to their family and friends.
- The Cash for Clunkers was good for us, and we are hoping we can build on that, he said.

Mr. Davis, we call for you to consider what your father, Monte Davis, and his partner, Glenn Thomas, would think of how you are treating this customer. Is your position on this auction being handled how they would have handled it? Would they have recognized that they made a deal and stood up as men to honor it? Or would they have tried to sneak away from the deal?

Please do what is right in this situation. Fix your major public relations issue and sell this man the car at the contractually agreed-to price.
