American farmers are not allowed to grow hemp for industrial purposes. Hemp has the ability to feed humanity, replace trees for use in paper products, can replace petroleum in several applications and has many more uses. Hemp is easy to grow, a renewable resource, is a high yield crop and is native to North America. Hemp has no psychoactive chemicals and when cross pollinated with Marijauna, it renders the Marijuana useless. We think that the current policy reflects a misguided attempt at drug control and that the benefits of industrial hemp greatly out-weigh the non-existent negative aspects.
