The Municipality of Thorne is applying for a grant in order to provide the residents of Thorne with the option of having high speed internet using satellite. The process of obtaining the grant has proved to be a bumpy road, therefore, the Municipality is looking to provide the MRC with the number of ratepayers who are unable to obtain high speed internet using the current option of towers and consequently need an alternative form.

Getting high speed internet will make such a difference for us. It will allow my daughter access for school work. right now the only option is to travel 10 minutes to the parking lot of municipal office and sit in the car. This is difficult in the winter.
