Hold a Run-off vote on the use of the Brandeis Student Union rollover money

The top two contestant proposals for the use of the Student Union rollover funds were the building of a new weight room in Gosman (496 votes) and the construction of solar panels on a Brandeis building (474 votes). Generally Student Union elections have run-off elections when no one vote-getter has received a mandate.
In keeping with precedent, we, the undersigned, believe there should be a run-off in this vote.
Especially considering that 62.57\% of voters did not vote for the winning proposal, we believe the voters in this majority should be given the opportunity to express their opinions as to the use of the funds. To not hold a run-off would be to disregard the opinion of a majority of the voters.
We therefore ask that the Student Union does not proceed with the execution of any proposal until a run-off has been held.
