Irish Leaders Debate

In light of the success of the televised 'Leaders Debates' in the United Kingdom, this petition proposes an Irish replication. The current format of Irish leader debates excludes one major party, is not interactive enough and, in its single-session format, is not expansive enough to give voters a real insight into their prospective leaders. This petition proposes multiple debates, including all parties polling in double-digits, with audience participation. For the most part, a replication of the British format would suffice but this petition would also like to propose a relaxation of the rules of counter-questioning so as to ensure a more authentic debate. We want a real Leaders Debate in Ireland.
