Make Merlin An Australian Citizen

To Senator Amanda Vanstone , You may have noticed in a program on channel 10 there is a realtiy tv program called Big Brother. I'm sure you have heard about the show via the press or television adverts. If you don't follow the show may i bring the following point to your interest. On this show there is a contestant named Merlin. Merlin was born in Germany and moved to Australia when he was around 4-5 years of age. He was teased at school for being German by other children and it seams the same is happening again in the big brother house. He and another housemate Paul almost had a fight over the issue that he is not an Australian Citizen and we the undersigned think after living in Australia Since he was 4 years old (he is now 24) 20 years in the country that he should be sworn in as an Australian Citizen. What we the undersigned would like from your office is for you to grant Merlin a full Australian Citizenship so things like this will never happen to him again. We all think that Merlin is a very nice young man and is an asset to Australia. We hope you can look into this seriously and consider en-stating Merlin as a full Australian Citizen.
