Medical Attention Needed For Chandra

972-475-7500 and he said Chanda needs a pacemaker. But the guards took Chanda back to Rockwall jail instead. Chanda called tonight and her heart was hurting her very badly but the jail refused to take her to the hospital again. The jail nurse, Linda Bell, told me and Chanda that Chanda will not get her heart, blood pressure meds, etc., because she said the jail cannot afford them! The jail has already been taking money off of Chanda's books to pay for her pain medication because Lyme pain is equal to cancer pain but this is against the law for money to be taken off of inmates books that are indigent and papers are filed at Rockwall District Court Clerks office of her being indigent!
Chandra has other medical problems as well that she is not being treated for.
We the undersigned find this inhumane and unjust. Her rights are being violated. She is in need of medical help immediatley.
We insist that she is placed in a hospital at once, and if the prison can not afford her medical treatment, we insist that she is released at once.
The state of Texas has taken custody of Chandra and in doing so assumes responsibility of the inmate (Chanda's) health care. This has been clearly established by law and is also a moral issue.
Financial constraints do not matter, the state assumes responsibility to keep an inmate alive. There is absolutely no excuse for denying legitimate medical care to a sick inmate.
We the undersigned demand action at once on this matter
