I support the Medical College of Georgia Dental Hygiene Program mission to increase and advance the dental hygiene profession in the state of Georgia. I recognize that closure of this program would greatly deplete the supply of baccalaureate prepared hygienists around the state of Georgia and negatively impact dentistry in our state. Therefore, I strongly oppose the closure of this program as proposed by the Medical College of Georgia and the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.
