Moving The East London Aquarium To The Orient Pools Complex

We, the undersigned, ask that you consider a relocation of the East London Aquarium from it's current site to a new building within the Orient Swimming Pool complex.

We feel that the current site is woefully inadequate as both a tourist attraction and suitable environment for the marine life contained therein. New facilities within the Orient complex should be able to provide a more fulfilling visitor experience and at the same time assist the curators in being able to provide a better quality of life for the marine animals.

In order for Buffalo City to position itself as a perferred tourism destination within South Africa, appealing to both local and international visitors, the area needs to play to it's strengths, and by not having an attractive marine world that offers good value for money an opportunity is being wasted.

We appeal that serious due consideration is given to this proposal and relevant stakeholders and suitable professionals are consulted shortly so as to begin the process of uplifting our aquarium.
