New Fences in Lampeter University

We, the students of the University of Wales, Lampeter, feel the need to comment on the fences which have recently been put up around the University. We understand that they have been put there for our safety, and to ensure that anyone entering campus at night must pass the porters' lodge. However, we note that there are still several ways on to campus which are not blocked at night and do not pass the porters lodge, and also, that the gates as they currently are prevent any students in the town from easily returning to the safety of the campus. This is especially true of those students returning from Mama Mia's, The Cwmanne and the King's Head who must travel most of the way around the campus and pass two locked gates in order to reach the porters.
