The city of Irvine has only provided a very small amount of space for safe, public skateboarding. Myriads of skaters, either residents or visitors of Irvine, are facing unneccessary problems/consequences as a result of their skateboarding. Skateboarding has turned into an almost illegal sport due to laws that prohibit skateboarding almost everywhere. A safe, spacious public skateboarding spot must be constructed to ensure and benfit the public with the use of the U.S. Consitution's Fifth Amendment's eminent domain. With this, Irvine's uneeded/unused space can be turned into a beneficial environment to support skateboarding, especially for the youth. We call for supporters to fight for this cause and fight for your right to skate!
