Dear respected Sirs and Ladies of the British Parliament,
I am writing to beg of you, on behalf off all mankind - Please stop the bloodshed !
I learn today, through social media, that we are to involve ourselves in yet another conflict, Mali.
I am deeply worried that we as a nation have learnt nothing of our recent past. Conflict, as the records show, rarely solves issues, and although we convince ourselves that we are peacekeepers, we not only create tension and bloodshed in the land, but emblazon ourselves as enemies on the minds and psyches of those who fall and their generations to come. Tony Blair, before you, scarred by the blood of thousands gave sound advice as to how to proceed at times like this. I refer you to his greater experience and ask of you again, as a citizen of this country, and the world; please act with caution, do not get drawn in to actions we may later regret.
