Oppose Union Church Gas Well Drilling Site Zoning Variance

XTO Energy has applied for 4 zoning variances to allow gas well drilling at 2022 Union Church Road, a 9.1 acre tract of land located on the southwest corner of Union Church Road and Pearson Lane intersection. On January 10, 2011 the application for variances was recommended denied by a unanimous decision of the Keller Zoning and Planning Commission. This recommendation is now being sent to the Keller City Council for consideration at the February 15, 2011 meeting.

This is in the city of Keller so it is in their jurisdiction. The well site also borders Southlake. The well site is within 400 feet of Keller homes and within 1000 feet of Southlake homes and a Southlake park.

We, the undersigned agree with the recommendation of the Keller Planning and Zoning commission and are in direct opposition to any and all variance requests to allow gas well drilling operations on the property located at 2022 Union Church Road in Keller Texas. We recommend to the Keller City Council that the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission is honored and this request is denied.
