Passeggini aperti sui autobus

Questa petizione si propone di porre fine alla discriminazione contro le mamme di Trieste, che non posso utilizzare i trasporti pubblici con passeggini aperti. Il regolamento di "Trieste Trasporti" richiede che chiunque entri nell'autobus con un passeggino lo pieghi, anche se c'è spazio sufficiente in autobus per tenerlo aperto. Mentre una persona in sedia a rotelle può utilizzare lo spazio aperto al centro, le mamme con passeggini non possono usare quello stesso spazio, anche se l'autobus è vuoto!

Tenere il bambino in grembo senza cintura di sicurezza, e nell'altro mano un passeggino ripiegato, è di gran lunga più pericoloso che lasciare il bambino ben fissato all'interno del passeggino.

Il regolamento ha creato gravi difficoltà a mamme e babysitters e ha spinto molte di loro ad evitare i trasporti pubblici. Anche in grandi metropoli come Londra o New York, con autobus normalmente molto affollati, è consentito usare passeggini aperti sull'autobus, a meno che non ci siano già sedie a rotelle.

Questa petizione si propone di modificare il regolamento di Trieste Trasporti e di permettere alle mamme e ai loro bambini di muoversi facilmente e in sicurezza con i mezzi pubblici a Trieste.

This petition seeks to end the discrimination against mothers in Trieste who are not allowed to use the public transport system with open pushchairs. The regulation of "Trieste Trasporti" requires that any person who enters the bus with a pushchair needs to fold it down, even if there is enough space for it to be open. While wheelchair users can use the open space in the centre, mothers with pushchairs are not allowed to use that same space, even if the bus is empty. Keeping ones child on the lap without a security belt, while maneuvering a folded pushchair is way more dangerous than keeping the child well fixed inside the buggy during the busride. This regulation has put mothers and carers into great difficulty and led them to avoid the public transport system altogether. Even in big cities like New York or London where buses are usually crowded it is allowed to use open pushchairs in the bus, unless the space is already taken up by wheelchair users. This petition seeks to change the rules of "Trieste Transporti" so that mothers can move savely and without difficulty by public transport in Trieste.
