Petition for the installation of a pedestrian crossing at Mauldeth Road / Wilmslow Road junction in south Manchester

The Mauldeth Road/Wilmslow road junction is a very dangerous place to cross. The absence of any aid for pedestrians to cross coupled with an extremely short time between each set of traffic mobilising results in hundreds of people each day risking serious injury or even death when attempting to cross the road. People need to cross at this junction to pass into the shopping areas of Withington and Fallowfield. Manchester City council needs to change this before somebody gets hurt. Nearby elderly care homes and schools further increases the need for change. With your help we can get the change we need.
