Petition to change City of Fort Worth / Keller residency restriction Sexual Offenders
The current city Laws do not offer enough rules and regulations that stop Sexual Predators that are currently on probation and that have served their probation from living in predominately family oriented neighborhoods. We are trying to obtain a city ordinance to prohibit these predators from living within 2000 feet from public and private property where minors congregate being a public playground, pools, daycare, schools, bus stops, arcades or other activities. In order for such a law to be passed we need to show our elected city officials that a strong voice is backing this cause.
I as a mother and a wife am pleading with you to sign this petition. I am not only doing this for the safety of my own child but the safety of your child and / or children and the children of the neighborhood as a whole.
We need to stand together as a strong voiced community living in the City of Fort Worth / Keller and get rid of this horrid and menacing problem facing the security of our children.
Please keep in mind we wont stop in the city of Fort Worth / Keller only. Eventually we will try to get it to be changed for the whole of Tarrant county, as large as it is. But for us to do so we as a district have to pass this Law and show the county that yet another district has passed the 2000 feet law.
Included in this Law is the grandfather status that we will not approve. No person/s with a past sexual predator history is to reside in these areas.
A total of 18 states thus far have passed these Law including Louisiana and Georgia.
So being that we are still growing and will grow some more let us put a stop now before anymore decide to live here. The time has come to let our voices be heard as a majority.
