The Honorable President of India, Dr Abdul Kalam, has refused to promote judge Bhalla as a chief judge.
I, Rahul Mehta, residing at 303, Sukhdham Flats, opp Municipal Market, nr C G Road, Ahmedabad - 380009, and other citizens of India who have signed this petition below, request you to cancel judge Bhalla's appointment as a chief judge.
As CJI, you have powers to send the same promotion order again to the Honorable President, and the Honorable President is bound to sign it, and so he will. But it would be a great dishonor of Honorable President if the promotion order is sent again.
And we undersigned citizens also believe that the promotion should be cancelled.
