Since it discovery in 1930, Pluto has been considered as part as one of the nine Planets that, together with many other objects, orbit the Sun. However, the discovery over the recent years that there are at least three other bodies which the orbit the Sun in a planet-like matter and which are comparable to Pluto in size created some controversy. In 2006 a debate within the International Astronomical Union (IAU) started with the objective of redefining the term "planet".
Today, August 14, 2006 the definition was officially changed, with Pluto being demoted to the status of "dwarf planet".
And so this petition was created, it's object is to make the IAU continue the debate and reconsider the demoting of Pluto. We want Pluto back as a planet. We want our Nine Pizzas back. Pluto deserves being a planet, like it has been since the day it was discovered.
