POEA Philippines - New System for Exit Clearance

To: POEA Philippines We,OFWs, would like to call the attention of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration ( POEA )regarding this proposed new system for getting exit clearance - whereby OFWs will be required to go two separate days to the same office - to file and get their clearance. This will be a waste of precious time which will be spent by OFWs returning for their home leaves - time that should be allotted to their families. This will also mean additional transport expense for the OFW. It will mean wasted fuel for those that are bringing their own cars. We suggest that they check the current system carefully in order to avoid overcrowding - they can probably deputize more booths and people, upgrade their computer system ( where does the billions of POEA funds that OFWs pay go ? ) put permanent satellite offices in malls, including the provinces and advertise the multiple exit clearance system that is in place so more OFWs will know of it ( currently only the stewardesses and pilots know of this system because there is no information dissemination done by the POEA ). This will help decongest the area specially during holidays when the bulk of OFWs return for their home leaves.
