As residents of The Radial development, Wandsworth SW18, we are calling for the immediate introduction of CCTV in The Radial's Car Park.
Many thefts have occurred from the car park since it was opened, particularly of expensive bicycles and cycling equipment. Despite all incidents being reported to the police, and "Theft Warning" posters being added to the car park by residents, these thefts are continuing and are in fact increasing at an alarming rate.
As residents of The Radial, we demand that CCTV is installed immediately at no additional cost to residents, to protect and safeguard our property, and act as a deterrent to the thieves who are highly active in the Car Park. It is simply unacceptable that this level of crime is allowed to continue unchallenged. We demand CCTV cameras covering the entirety of the Car Park, with specific attention to the cycle racks. We also demand that the Car Park exit ramp is covered with a CCTV camera.
We also demand that ALL access to the car park is removed for all non-residents, including site builders, tradesmen, decorators and so on.
As the secure car park is proving to be fundamentally insecure, we request that Laing and Ardmore immediately take action to help protect our property.
