Dear Governor Eliot Spitzer,
Whereas...Climate Change is the most serious environmental challenge facing our world today,
Whereas...Even if the strongest legislation in the US Congress passes, we still have only a 50\% chance of avoiding the worst effects of climate change,
Whereas...New York State can and should be an example to the nation and the world as a forerunner in environmental policy,
We, the undersigned, request that New York State implement policies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions statewide to net-zero by 2025. This can be done while expanding the economy, creating jobs, and increasing population through a combination of energy-efficiency and renewable resources.
