Refine Federal Child Pornography Laws
We, the Undersigned, call on our elected officials to refine the Federal Child Pornography Laws. While current laws are effective in many circumstances, the legalities of certain abuses of children remain unclear. Children are featured nude in films marketed as documentaries or naturist films and are legally purchased via the Internet here in the United States of America.
An example of such abuse is found on the Baikal Films website. These films contain young boys participating in various sports, camping trips and even exploring their sexuality in coming of age films showing full frontal nudity. The company, Baikal Films, rates these films based on nudity with the least amount of nudity receiving one thumb up and films containing the most nudity and sexually explicit scenes receiving five thumbs up. Though the company claims the films with the highest rating of five thumbs up feature boys eighteen and older, this is called into question with many films such as Footballers. The film description states, Participants range in age from 10 to 13, yet screenshots featured on the companys website show full frontal nudity.
Instances like the above example need to be addressed. Federal Child Pornography Laws need to be amended to include films showing full frontal nudity of children making it against federal law to distribute, purchase and possess within the borders of the United States of America.
