We the undersigned, are opposed to the elimination of Italian language instruction for the
3-5, 5-7, and 7-9 level students at Bennett Park Montessori Center (BPMC). Research confirms that these are the most critical ages for learning a second language. Historically the BPMC students have excelled in mastering the Italian language passing the mandated high school level New York State Regents exam by 8th grade! We insist that this program be reinstated as it is of utmost importance in the success of the Montessori program.
