Re-Open the West Haven Skate park!

To: Directors of Park & Rec; The City Council of West Haven West Haven Skate Park is a treasure donated to the people of West Haven, Connecticut. This park has been in existence for seven years. It is used by many people from all different parts of Connecticut of all different ages. The West Haven Skate Park has kept many youth out of trouble and out of the streets. Due to the recent closing of the park many individuals have resorted to riding their bikes, skateboards, and scooters in the streets which is dangerous and can be a hazard to the public. Many parents who cannot afford to enroll their children in indoor skate parks looked forward to having their children enjoy the luxury of a free skate park. We, the Friends of West Haven Skate Park ask you to exercise wisdom and concern for future generations as you consider the impact your decisions will have on so many. Please do not close down the West Haven Skate Park! We, the Friends of West Haven Skate Park, would be willing to do the following: 1. Clean up vandalism 2. Volunteer to regularly clean up the park 3. Assist in bringing the skate park back into normal conditions Thank You, Friends of West Haven Skate Park
