We, the undersigned residents of Silwood Street, London, SE16 hereby petition for the implementation of residents only parking for our street. After implementation, unauthorized parking should be dealt with by vehicle removal rather than clamping or ticketing.
This is in response to the garages on our street repairing vehicles on the public highway and pavement on a daily basis which is illegal and makes the whole area look run down. Residents have to take extra care for their own safety when walking passed the broken vehicles and workmen. Vehicles are often parked on the pavement, forcing residents onto the road in the way of oncoming traffic. It’s amazing no one has been seriously hurt yet.
