We the Scottish people petition the UK Government to allow the Scottish government the right to choose when a legally binding referendum on independence should be held in line with UN policies of National Self Determination granting the people of Scotland the right to decide whether or not they want independence.
Respect Scottish Democracy and allow the Scottish government to hold the legally binding referendum in the Second half of the Scottish Parliament as per its election pledge. Also stop stating this is damaging the Scottish economy as there is no proof it is damaging the Scottish economy companies continue to invest the damage is cause by UK Government Cuts. Let the people of Scotland choose its future when and where they want!
remember it can be argued by forcing the Scottish government to hold the referendum could be construed a breach of UN article of national self determination by interfering in the Scottish governments right when it holds a referendum.
Further to this Stop scaremongering on the economy there is no proof uncertainty over when a referendum would be held is damaging the economy and the UK government has failed consistently to back up these claims the damage to the Scottish economy comes from UK government cuts and scaremongering. The Scottish government outlined that it would hold the independence referendum in the second half of the Scottish parliament as promised to the electorate in its manifesto commitment which the majority of Scots voted for giving them an outright majority in parliament to do so as per there pledge.
