Restoration of the EN 264 between Algoz and Messines

We, the undersigned, request that Mrs Isabel Soares, in her position as President of the Silves Camara, act with due urgency in the resolution of the following problem.
The Estrada Nacional 264 (EN 264) between Algoz-Messines desperately requires proper repair and/or resurfacing. The condition of this road is damaging the vehicles which use it and is furthermore endangering the lives of the persons travelling in those vehicles, along with the lives of cyclists and pedestrians.
The condition of this road continues to degenerate at a rate faster than such repairs as have been attempted have restored it. We request that Mrs Soares makes the complete and lasting restoration of this roadway her number one priority in 2010.
