S.E. Hinton for Best Teen Author

S.E. Hinton was a published author at 16. She was raised and currently resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where most of her books are based. She uses her initials instead of her real name (Susan Eloise) because readers may have thought a woman couldnt write a good book from a males perspective. Hinton has eight successful books that have been published since 1967, including the classic novel The Outsiders. Four of these teen novels have been made into movies (The Outsiders, Rumble Fish, That was then, This is now and Tex).

S.E. Hinton has been very successful and deserves some sort of award for her works, such as Best Teen Author. She deserves it!
