Save Iranian Refugees in Turkey

Dear Sirs,
An increasing number of Iranian writers, artists and political activists who took part in the nationwide protest movements against the suppressive regime of Islamic Republic in Iran, had to flee their country as their lives and personal safety had come under a serious threat from the security forces of the regime.

Currently in a state of bewilderment and under the worst living conditions, they are staying in their neighboring country of Turkey hoping to seek asylum in a Western country.

Another threat endangering the personal safety of our compatriots in Turkey is the active presence of the Islamic regimes agents and with the operational freedom that these agents enjoy in Turkey. Additionally, with the close relations between the Turkish government and the inhumane Islamic regime, there is an incentive for the Turkish government to return the opponents of the regime back to Iran, as they have done so frequently in the past.

The expelling of the protesters by Turkey to Iran has ended in many occasions with executions of the expelled asylum seekers.

Our group and the co-signatories of this petition intently appeal to you to use all the facilities available to you and your organisation as well as your moral and legal influences to put an end to this prolonged and bewildering suffering of these protesters, whose only crime is to have peacefully sought their rights to freedom and justice.

We particularly wish to emphasize on preventing the return of these compatriots to Iran.

مسئول محترم کمیساریای پناهندگان سازمان ملل متحد، آنکارا. ترکیه.

تعداد زیادی از نویسندگان، هنرمندان و فعالان سیاسی ایران که در حرکات اعتراضی ملت ایران بر علیه حکومت زور و اختناق در ایران شرکت داشتند و بهمین دلیل نیز از طرف ارگانهای امنیتی و انتظامی رژیم اسلامی ایران مورد تهدید قرار گرفته و امنیت و جانشان با خطر جدی روبرو گردیده بناچار به کشور ترکیه پناه برده و در انتظار پناه دهی از طرف کشورهای دموکرات غربی در تحت بدترین شرایط در بلاتکلیفی بسر میبرند.

حضور عوامل و ماموران رژِیم جمهوری اسلامی در ترکیه و آزادی عملی که این عمال رژیم در ترکیه از آن برخوردارند تهدید دیگری است که امنیت این هموطنان ما را در آن کشور با خطر جدی مواجه گردانده. از طرف دیگر روابط صمیمانه ای که بین کشور ترکیه و حکومت ضد بشری ایران بوجود آمده میتواند همانطور که در گذشته هم بارها اتفاق افتاده انگیزه ای برای برگرداندن مخالفان رژیم ایران از طرف دولت ترکیه به ایران قرار گیرد.

برگرداندن مخالفان و معترضین از طرف ترکیه به ایران در گذشته بارها منجر به اعدام اخراج شدگان در ایران گردیده.

گروه ما و همچنین امضاء کنندگان این پتیشن مصرانه خواستار آنند که جنابعالی از تمام امکانات و نفوذ معنوی و قانونی خود استفاده نموده و به سرگردانی و بلاتکلیفی بازهم بیشتر این مبارزانی که گناهی بجز آزادیخواهی و عدالتخواهی آنهم از طریق مسالمت آمیز نداشته اند خاتمه داده شود و بخصوص تاکید بر این داریم که از برگرداندن آنها به ایران اکیدا جلوگیری گردد.
