Save Mario Kart Wii from getting the "Targeted at Non-Gamers" treatment!

Mario Kart Wii is in desperate need of better graphics, the game looks downright terrible and we all know the Wii can handle visuals far superior than these.

It's a shame to see a popular and well loved franchise like Mario Kart get the "targeted at non gamers" treatment like most Wii games do. By this I mean a game that's cheap to develop and will sell millions due to the fact that it's main target group are the non gamers. These people don't see games as an artform, they don't care about production values, graphics, music because they don't know any better.

Graphics DO matter, and Nintendo know this, that's why all their big name games always have excellent visuals. Take a look at SSBB, Zelda TP, Metroid Prime 3 which even has some for of HDR and Mario Galaxy, all these games look absolutely breathtaking, but these games are mainly targeted at gamers where as Mario Kart is now targeted at the non gamer consumers but gamers are welcome to enjoy it too.

With this being said, Mario Kart is in desperate need of better visuals, the game will be released in less than a month but hopefully this petition will work out and Nintendo will delay the game for another month or two to improve the sub par, downright terrible looking visuals.
