Save Our Schools

Recently, budget cuts have reduced money for the OUSD music and visual arts programs. This is an insane incident, as music is a required asset for all students. It provides creativity, inspiration, academic skills, artistic value, and a ream of other values necessary to high achievements and success. The prospect of eliminating elementary vocal programs is appalling because studies have proven that children with early exposure to vocal will develop better speaking skills and more adept abilities with other school events. Visual arts are also a necessity to ensuring the preservation of the arts; this includes theater and dance. Surely, a more persistent focus on these fund troubles can serve to the advantage of our soon-to-be-deprived students. K-6 arts programs have infinite capacities to serving the well-being of all who are interested in the future of our area.

A few sacrifices should be made to ensure the survival of our arts programs. They are overwhelmed by hostiles against the prosperity of our generation. If everybody could take the thought and time to contribute to our arts programs, or at least sign this petition, our music and visual arts programs will be one step closer to recuperation!

Children are indeed the future and we should do everything in our power to make better the education of all students. There is still hope to save our schools!
