StreetHop Radio has been active for 4 years, airing Sunday evenings at 9:00pm on Radio Adelaide, 101.5FM. StreetHop Radio is the leading hip-hop show in South Australia, yet as a result of governmental changes to the Student Union funding, its future is not certain.
StreetHop Radio has a large fan base and puts emphasis on building strong connections with the listeners. With a community driven outlook and catering to fan tastes, StreetHop Radio has given local musicians the opportunity to shine and promote their music amongst international superstars, in addition receiving local support from Playerz Streetwear, Urban Hitz Magazine and Youngline Records.
Its credibility stems from support from such acts as G-Unit Records, Shady Records, Tha Outlawz, Method Man, Cypress Hill, Westside Connection, Ice Cube, Chino XL, Bone Thugs and more. StreetHop Radio is known for its exclusives, various world first premieres from the likes of Eminem and Tupac as well as showcasing the freshest from the underground and the top of the commercial world.
If StreetHop Radio were to go off air, unbiased and entertaining urban broadcasting would disappear with it. No other radio show encompasses such broad boundaries, with strong connections in the US urban industry and strong roots in the underground. Therefore, if you would like to see StreetHop Radio stay on air, please sign the petition and hopefully a major radio station will take notice.
