After 105 years, Essex CCC are considering scrapping the Southend Cricket Festival.
The Festival brings First Class and top level limited overs cricket to the south of the county and is the only opportunity for many people people to see the stars in action.
The Southend Festival does make a profit and is well supported year after year.
Taking the Festival away would be a great loss to Southend, cricket supporters and the youth of the area.
