We, the undersigned, do not agree with the proposals to merge Wisewood and Myers Grove schools.
We are members of the communities affected and we do not accept the proposing groups claim that it represents the feelings of those communities.
We believe the two-school option a rebuild of Myers Grove, with sixth-form provision, and a refurbishment of Wisewood would serve the communities better than a single school at the Myers Grove site.
We call on the Government to provide the funding for the two-school solution to keep open one of Sheffields most successful schools.

I went to Wisewood, and achieved a PhD recently. Closing Wisewood would destroy Wadsley, Loxley, and Wisewood communities.

The merger just makes no logical sense at all. There are so many reasons not to merge, and very few (good) reasons to do so.

It worries me that a game of russian roulette is being played with our childrens futures. With so many reasons for the merger to not go ahead and so many people opposed to the merger how can it even be considered?
