The collection of waste and recycling bins is one of the most crucial services delivered by Council. About 29,000 residential waste bins and 25,700 residential recycling bins are collected by Council each week.'
This waste tax will raise nearly $11 million dollars per year, above and beyond the annual council rates that are charged. This is estimated if each household is charged $200.
This is a blatant tax grab.
Council already raises $176 million dollars a year.
Say NO to this extra tax charge.
