Should we get our local Governments to bring in army troops to tackle the riots in the UK?

Since Thursday, youths have blighted our great nation by setting places alight and looting local businesses. The police aren't doing much to contain the situation and our government keeps chairing meetings to discuss how much power should the police have to tackle the situation. I think that it is about time that our local governments to call up the troops and tactically insert them in major trouble hotspots while the police man the quieter areas of the UK. Do you think that the army should be called in also?
