Stop the Censorship on the SOC Y&R Board

Dear DanJKroll and all other Soap Central web team,

There has been an ongoing problem in the Young and the Restless section of your online forum. This ongoing problem is easily identified as the moderating team who oversees this area.

As participants of your forum, we have all been asked to read an understand the set of rules and criteria before confirming our registration for these message boards. It is of course part of the moderating team's job to make sure we all adhere to these guidelines and to penalize those who break these rules. It is NOT, however, the moderating team's job to censor free speech that does not go against any of the set rules and guidelines. It is also not the moderating team's job to merge posts together that are about two or sometimes even three or four completely different discussion topics.

"I loved Victoria's hair today!"
"I hate JT and Victoria together. I hope Brad gets even with her"
"I miss Heather Tom as Victoria"

Are three separate topics. When topics such as these get merged together, it makes the board very unworkable and unpleasant to get around. No one wants to read through a thread of 600 posts about varying topics, especially when the topic is going in three different directions.

It is our belief as the undersigned that the moderation team is making things more complicated than they need to be for a soap opera message board. A soap opera message board should be a safe haven where everyone can happily post their thoughts on the show and respectfully disagree with each other on differing opinions.

To put it bluntly, the Y&R moderators are on a power trip and we want to see this stopped, for our posting pleasures and for the betterment of your own community.
