Eel Weir offers beautiful campsites that over look the Oswegatchie River. Campers have enjoyed the Oswegatchie River and Black Lake for many summers. Both waterways are known for excellent fishing and are ideal for canoes and rowboats. Visitors have easy access to the St Lawrence River, the 1000 Island Region, and historic sites around Ogdensburg.
Eel Weir is an integral part of our Town of Oswegatchie, the City of Ogdensburg and all the Towns and Villages surrounding it.
Closing Eel Weir will hurt all the families that have used this park.
Closing Eel Weir State Park is not the answer to NY states fiscal problems.
Closing Eel Weir could have a devastating impact on the local economy.
