We, the undersigned, oppose any proposal to limit the deduction a donor can take for clothing and household goods to $500.00 per year. This proposal was recommended in a report released in January 2005 by the Joint Committee on Taxation. We feel that such a cap is unreasonable, and our donations support vital programs and services.
