Support for the Little Maumelle Wastewater Treatment Facility

We the undersigned, support the efforts of the City of Little Rock and the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Commission to build a wastewater treatment facility in the Little Maumelle basin. This treatment facility will make our city a better place to live by reducing sewage overflows. After years of study and public input, a treatment facility has been designed to compliment similar structures in the area while reclaiming water better than all environmental requirements. In addition, this treatment facility will allow the city to meet the demands as set forth in the Sierra Club court agreed settlement and the Consent Administrative Order.
Wastewater treatment facilities are a necessary part of Little Rock's infrastructure and the Little Maumelle Treatment Facility will provide a long term solution for environmentally sound wastewater treatment.
