We are writing to you as we are part of the true American Way of Life. We are over 4 Million strong and work in hotels around the nation, but yet have no proper benefits, proper wages, and fair treatment to survive. We keep the economy going continuously by cleaning rooms in hotels that average 349-667 rooms total per hotel. We get paid an average of $5.00 dollars per each room we clean a day. Why can't we have fair treatment and be paid fairly for the dedicated work we do to keep hotels clean and beautiful for americans and others to reside in daily. To know we bring lost and found items down to return to the guests, never steal anything within the room when cleaning and always smile, greet the guest and make them feel welcomed like at home but for only $5.00 dollars a day with hardly ever a tip given in return or raise by our employers. We ask for you, Our Congressmen & Senators" to stand up and help make a change for the better to make us once again believe in America that we live in.
