The Resignation of Howard Lincoln & Chuck Armstong

To Mr. Howard Lincoln and Chuck Armstrong,

We, as Mariner fans, are tired of this product you have created. We are tired of an endlessly mediocre on-field product. We are tired of apathetic players, un-motivating managers, and general managers that have consistently failed to give the team a fresh attitude. We are tired of your inability to create a culture of winning. We are tired of your excuses. We are tired of referring to 1995 as the best year in Mariners history. We are tired of you.

We feel that you are the problem with the Mariners franchise, and the two reasons the Mariners have failed to deliver an American League pennant. We feel that the responsible thing to do is to step down as head executives of the franchise. One of the best days in Seattle sports history will be when the Mariners bring home the Commissioners trophy. We do not feel that this will happen during your tenure.

We, the Undersigned, the fans of the Mariners, through 1995, 2001, and all the worthlessness in between and since, ask you both to resign as Club President and CEO, and pave the way for somebody to create a fresh atmosphere in the Mariners franchise. It is time for change, and it starts with the top.
