Toronto Star discriminates against Uruguayans in World Cup article

"Korea, you may be feeling a little jealous of Uruguay right now. Sure, a silly mistake and a wonder goal cost you a game you controlled huge swaths of. That hurts. But you've got a powerhouse economy, the bright lights of Seoul and kooky neighbours who make you look golden by comparison. Uruguay's got plane-crash-related cannibalism."
This offensive comment can induce hate against a nationality and made a mockery of a tragic event in Uruguays history. It also misled the general public with regard to the countless accomplishments and contibutions Uruguay and Uruguayans have made to the world society throughtout the years.
As proud Canadians we will not tolerate this type of discrimminatory, hurtful and damaging articles to be published in our great country.
We demand that The Toronto Star do the correct thing and immediately give a formal, visible and public apology to the millions of people it has affected.
