1st Thank you for taking your time and reading this and many manyyy thanks for signing it and supporting my cause :) myself and family are very much appreciated X THANKS YOU ALL xxxxx :)
Many of you will not be aware of "renal failure" like i myself was not untill my mum was diagnosed with it over 15 years ago!
something that due to lack of information, equipment and specialist on this ground IN GIBRALTAR my mum got severily ill and had to be sent over to the UK urgently!
My concern now is that we have been waiting for a transplant for over 15 YEARS NOW & YET WE HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING WITH REGARDS TO; WHEN SHE'd GET IT, WHRE SHEd GET IT AND IF SHE WOULD EVER GET IT !!!!!!
It was brought to my attention just " 1YEAR AGO" THAT THERE IS """ NO TRANSPLANT LIST IN GIBRALTAR" Yes you read right ... """""NO""""" list !!!!
This we only found out after the DIALYSIS Doctor ( unit that has been set up privatley by this Doctor and his team AND NOT THE GIBRALTAR GOVERNMENT)seeing so many patients had to go to SPAIN to get their daily DIALYSIS!!!
and this i have to say is a total DISGRACE for both the PATIENT 1ST AND THEIR FAMILIES!!)
HE confirmed this with us and later on explained the process of having a transplant ( if so ) and process of it being resident in GIBRALTAR - EVEN THOUGH WE ARE "BRITISH" AND BRITISH CITIZENS !!!
Patient would have to go to the UK and have a minimun of 6Months / 1 Year residency before they can go onto the offical lists ( AND FOR THIS NOT TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT THAT WE ARE BRITISH SAME AS THE ONES IN THE UK )... and more complicated to have it done via SPAIN if so (in Andalucia which is @ the moment the place in the world with the highest number of organ donors and patients transplanted)
I JUST WISH FOR ALL TO BE AWARE OF HOW MANY PEOPLE IN THE WORLD - KIDS, YOUNG AND OLD SUFFER FROM THIS AND MANY PEOPLE DIE ON DIALYSIS WAITING FOR A TRANSPLANT TO ARRIVE ...
PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO FRINDS, FAMALIES, WORK COLLUEGUES .. ANYONE YOU KNOW AND PLEASE SUPPORT AND HELP ME BY SIGNING THIS PETITION FOR A " TRANSPLANT LIST TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN GIBRALAR - THIS BE LINKED TO THE UK OR SPAIN - JUST BE ONE AND HELP THESE PEOPLE HAVE A SECOND CHANCE IN LIFE .. WE ALL DESERVE IT DONT WE? ?
